Meet the Team Behind The Wellness Atelier: The People, Passions and Personal Touch
Behind every treatment, every class and every warm welcome is a team of people who care deeply about what they do. Get to know the people behind The Wellness Atelier, from our clinical specialists to our Studio instructors, and discover a little more about the personalities, passions and expertise that make us who we are.
More than a clinic. A team that cares.
Step inside The Wellness Atelier and you’ll discover more than a beautiful Georgian townhouse in the heart of Shrewsbury. You’ll find a team of people brought together by a shared appreciation for personalised care, professional expertise and a more considered approach to feeling your best.
Our work spans medical and aesthetic treatments, advanced skincare, nutrition, massage, Pilates, yoga and mindful movement. Each member of our team brings their own experience, perspective and passion, helping us create an environment where clinical expertise and a genuinely personal approach go hand in hand.
But what makes a team is about more than qualifications and experience. It’s the little things, too: the conversations, the recommendations, the encouragement and the people who help you feel at ease from the moment you arrive.
So, we thought it was time to introduce ourselves a little more personally.
Meet our Clinic Team
Melissa | Founder and Medical Aesthetics

As the founder of The Wellness Atelier, Melissa’s vision has always centred on bringing together clinical expertise, natural-looking aesthetic treatments and a wider appreciation for wellbeing.
An advanced aesthetic practitioner and NMC-registered independent nurse prescriber, Melissa began her nursing career at King’s College London and St Thomas’ Hospital before developing extensive experience in aesthetics, including working alongside leading plastic surgeons in Harley Street.
Patient safety, ongoing education and an individual approach sit at the heart of her work. Melissa believes that good aesthetic care starts with listening, understanding what matters to each person and creating a considered plan that works with their needs and lifestyle.
Her warm, encouraging approach reflects the wider philosophy of the Atelier: helping people feel confident in themselves, while always respecting their individuality.
Natasha Sterling | Aesthetics Nurse Prescriber

With more than 27 years of nursing experience, Natasha brings a wealth of clinical knowledge to The Wellness Atelier.
Her background includes advanced aesthetic medicine and training doctors, dentists and nurses in injectable treatments. She has a particular interest in dermal fillers and collagen stimulators, with an approach focused on understanding each patient's goals and creating balanced, natural-looking results.
Natasha believes that a thorough consultation is essential to good treatment planning. Her commitment to continued learning and evidence-based practice helps ensure that each person's care is approached thoughtfully.
Away from the clinic, Natasha enjoys a creative pursuit that might surprise you: designing and making beautiful dresses in her sewing room.
Megan | Clinic Manager

A seamless experience often begins long before your appointment, and Megan plays an important role in making that happen.
With more than 15 years of management experience across client-focused industries, Megan brings organisation, leadership and a strong understanding of customer care to the Atelier.
From the practical details behind the scenes to ensuring that clients feel welcomed and looked after, she helps create the calm, considered experience we want every visitor to enjoy.
Alice | Front of House Receptionist

Alice is often one of the first friendly faces you’ll meet when you visit The Wellness Atelier.
With a background in customer service and seven years of experience in journalism, she brings excellent communication skills, curiosity and a thoughtful approach to helping clients feel comfortable and informed.
Alice is also developing her passion for skincare, enjoying learning more about ingredients, treatments and new developments in the industry.
When she isn’t at the front desk, she enjoys exploring the Shropshire countryside and keeping active with Barre and Reformer Pilates at The Studio.
Olivia | Patient Coordinator and Skin Therapist

Olivia combines a strong clinical background with a genuine interest in skincare and helping people feel confident in their skin.
After more than a decade working as a dental nurse in NHS and private practice, including alongside oral surgery specialists, she retrained in makeup artistry before progressing into advanced skin therapies.
Her qualifications and treatment experience span a wide range of services, including IPL, skin rejuvenation, chemical peels, microneedling and advanced skin and body treatments.
Olivia’s attention to detail, approachable manner and commitment to client care help make every visit feel personal. Outside work, she enjoys cooking, live music, comedy and spending time with her young family.
Nutrition and Whole-Person Wellbeing

Sasha | Nutritionist, Yoga and Pilates Instructor
Sasha brings a thoughtful, whole-person approach to wellbeing, combining her experience in nutrition with her background in yoga, Pilates and mindful living.
Having worked in the health and wellness industry since 2014, Sasha is passionate about helping people understand their individual needs and build sustainable habits that support their long-term wellbeing. She believes that no two people are the same, and that nutrition should reflect each person's lifestyle, goals and circumstances.
After graduating from Durham University and beginning her career in publishing in London, Sasha relocated to Shropshire in 2010. Following the birth of her two children, she qualified as a yoga and Pilates instructor, developing a deeper interest in the relationship between movement, mindfulness and everyday health. She later retrained in nutrition to bring together her knowledge of food, movement and holistic wellbeing.
Today, Sasha supports clients with personalised nutrition guidance, meaningful goal-setting and practical changes that can become part of everyday life. Her approach focuses on helping people understand their own motivations and find realistic ways to make lasting changes, rather than following a one-size-fits-all plan.
For Sasha, wellbeing is about looking at the bigger picture — bringing together nutrition, movement and daily habits in a way that feels individual, achievable and sustainable.
Meet our Studio Team
We believe that wellbeing is about more than what happens in the treatment room. Movement, time for yourself and finding an approach that feels right for your body all have a place in the bigger picture.
Our Studio team brings together different disciplines, teaching styles and experiences, with a shared aim of helping people move with greater confidence and feel supported in their own practice.
Emily-Jean | Yoga, Pilates, Barre and Holistic Therapies

Emily-Jean’s journey into wellbeing began during her years in London’s dance industry, where she discovered yoga and Pilates between shows and auditions.
She fell in love with the connection between mind and body, and with the idea that movement could help people care for themselves without placing unnecessary pressure on their bodies.
Alongside teaching yoga, fitness and Reformer Pilates, Emily-Jean has experience in massage and skincare therapy. She also has a strong interest in nutrition and the relationship between everyday habits and wellbeing.
Her approach is shaped by a genuine desire to keep learning, encourage others and help people discover movement that feels good for them.
Ellen | Pilates, Reformer Pilates and Nutrition

Ellen brings together her interests in movement, fitness and nutrition. As a registered nutritionist, personal trainer and mat and Reformer Pilates instructor, she has a broad perspective on supporting wellbeing.
She was drawn to Reformer Pilates for its adaptability, mindful approach and accessibility across different ages and abilities.
Ellen is passionate about the ways movement can support both physical and mental wellbeing, and continues to build on her knowledge as she develops her practice.
Ophelia | Mat and Reformer Pilates

For Ophelia, Pilates became more than a personal interest; it inspired a new career.
Following the birth of her third son, she moved away from makeup artistry and turned her passion for Pilates into a profession.
A Level 3-qualified mat and Reformer Pilates teacher, Ophelia combines classical Pilates principles with contemporary elements to create engaging, accessible classes.
She particularly values the sense of community that movement can create. Her aim is to help clients build strength and mobility while feeling welcomed, encouraged and confident in their individual journeys.
A Few of Our Favourite Things
Of course, we’re more than our job titles.
Behind the professional expertise are individual routines, little luxuries, personal recommendations and the everyday things that make us who we are. We thought it would be fun to share a little more about the people behind The Wellness Atelier, from the skincare products we genuinely love to the treatments we couldn’t be without, our favourite ways to move and the little things that make life special.
Whether it’s a trusted skincare staple, a favourite Studio class or simply spending time with the people who matter most, these are the details that let you get to know our team beyond the treatment room.
Olivia’s Skincare Favourites
The products we always come back to
When it comes to skincare, Olivia’s staples include the ZO Skin Health Complexion Renewal Pads and Exfoliating Polish. She also loves finishing a facial by applying ZO Skin Health Illuminating AOX Serum to clients’ skin for an added glow.
With her background in advanced skin therapies, Olivia understands the importance of a considered skincare routine and enjoys helping clients discover products that complement their skin and professional treatments.
Megan’s Favourite Quote
A little reminder to carry with you
“Have courage and always be kind.”
For Megan, these words are a lovely reminder of the importance of approaching life with both confidence and compassion. Sometimes, it’s the simplest sentiments that have the greatest meaning — encouraging us to be brave enough to take on new challenges while remembering the difference a little kindness can make to those around us.
It’s a sentiment that feels very much at home at The Wellness Atelier, where making people feel welcome, listened to and supported is such an important part of what we do.
Alice’s Must-Have Treatment
The treatment I wouldn’t want to be without
For Alice, it’s the AquaPure HydraFacial. With its focus on cleansing, exfoliation and hydration, this facial treatment is a favourite for refreshing the skin and helping to achieve a healthy-looking glow.
As her passion for skincare continues to grow, Alice enjoys learning about the treatments available at The Wellness Atelier and the different ways professional skincare can support individual skin goals.
Emily-Jean’s Favourite Thing About Working at The Wellness Atelier
The people make the difference
For Emily-Jean, one of the best things about working at The Wellness Atelier is the empowering women she works alongside and the opportunity to support the amazing clients she meets along the way.
Being part of a team that encourages one another, shares knowledge and brings different skills and passions together makes every day rewarding. Just as importantly, building connections with clients and being part of their individual wellbeing journeys is something she truly values.
It’s this sense of community, encouragement and shared passion that makes the Atelier such a special place to work and visit.
Melissa’s Tips for Glowing Skin
A few of my skincare essentials
For Melissa, achieving a healthy-looking glow is about combining a consistent home skincare routine with professional treatments tailored to your individual needs.
Her personal approach includes chemical exfoliation, with physical exfoliation incorporated into the routine as appropriate, alongside skincare ingredients such as peptides. She also values professional treatments, including Profhilo and regular facials every six weeks, as part of a considered approach to skin quality and radiance.
Of course, every complexion is different. The right combination of products and treatments will depend on your skin type, concerns and tolerance. Too much exfoliation can compromise the skin barrier, so it is important to choose a routine that suits your skin rather than following a one-size-fits-all schedule.
At The Wellness Atelier, we believe that great skincare is about more than following a trend. It’s about understanding your skin and creating a plan that works for you.
Sasha’s Studio Favourite: Pilates, Yoga, Reformer or Barre?
One favourite? That’s a difficult one!
Sasha adores them all, but Reformer Pilates truly has her heart.
What she loves most is how adaptable the Reformer is. The possibilities for movement, progression and variation feel almost endless, allowing exercises to be tailored to different abilities and individual goals. There is always something new to explore, whether you’re developing your technique, building strength or finding a deeper connection with your movement.
For Sasha, that combination of creativity, challenge and adaptability is what makes Reformer Pilates so special — and keeps her coming back to the Reformer time and time again.
Ellen’s Favourite Ways to Unwind
Fresh air, movement and good food
For Ellen, the perfect combination involves getting outside, keeping active and spending quality time with the people she loves.
She enjoys going for walks with her partner and friends, heading out for a run and making time for Reformer Pilates. And when it’s time to slow down? Sharing a good meal and a glass of wine with the girls is hard to beat.
It’s a lovely reflection of Ellen’s approach to wellbeing: finding a balance between movement, connection and the everyday pleasures that make life enjoyable.
